Okay. First of all, no, I’m not dead yet. Second of all, HI GUYS, HOW’VE YOU BEEN?

I’ve been swell. And sad. And excited. And exhausted. And blissful. And stressed out.

I’m in Montreal right now, which is amazing. The city is beautiful, the people are pleasant, the rainbows are everywhere, and companies actually advertise the fact that they support the LGBT community. Wow. I mean, that’s such a huge contrast from Lebanon, where gay people hide it as much as possible.

I’m here to study, actually. Yep. I’m going to stay a very long while. And I’m going to miss my friends from Lebanon so much. But I’m happy to be leaving, if I’m going to be honest. My dear country has completely gone to hell (it literally became garbage), and being here, in Montreal, I wonder how I’ve actually survived 18 whole years over there. Seriously, we Lebanese people deserve an award for putting up with ourselves.

I’ve been here for 7 days and let me tell you, I love this Gay Paradise. Until now I’ve seen around 25 gay couples holding hands, whereas during my 18 years in Lebanon I’ve only ever seen public homosexuality on my computer screen. Needless to say, I’m by far happier here. But it’s sad to think that Lebanon is still so far behind.

Anyway, there’s a pride parade in a bit over a week. I’m dying to go, as it would be my first pride ever. I’m just hoping I can shake off my parents. I’ll keep you posted on that.

That was all for now. God, I miss the blogosphere. I’ll try to come and post something soon.
